About

After 35 years of beating my head against the brick wall that is Washington, DC, as a lobbyist turned chef, I dragged the long-suffering Anne to the wilds of Appalachia. To paraphrase the great Clara Peller, we’re looking for a few more cheap thrills before we die. This blog is my attempt to get in touch with my “Inner Wytheness.”

    Hi Ron,

Looking forward to the cooking demo. at the Wytheville Farmers Market. Met you at the Healthy Foods Foundation Conference at the Fort Chiswell Mansion. Isn’t it wonderful to have a Farmers Market and the chance to purchase wonderful produce!
See you next Saturday and thank you for providing such a delightful look at Wythe County.

We met for Maris’s b-day party, which makes no difference, but your blog puts me in touch with my Wytheness and Appalachia too. Your pictures , topics, and text are appreciated. Enjoy.
